How to Prepare for your Wedding Makeup Trial

A makeup trial is very important for a bride. This practice run will ensure that you will look exactly as you imagine when your wedding day comes around. To make sure the trials is worth your while, here are our tips so you can prepare for the best possible outcome!

  1. Scheduling and planning ahead is extremely important.

  2. Give yourself plenty of time between the trial and your wedding day. This will give you the possibility of scheduling another trial if your first one is not to your satisfaction. 3 Months before the wedding is a great reference.

  3. Your trial may take longer than the makeup performed on your wedding date. This will give us time to accomplish the makeup of your dreams. Typically this takes from 2 to 3 hours.

  4. Please think about the look you want. Pictures are extremely helpful and having multiple examples can speed up the process. Having pictures of looks you don’t want can also be very helpful to the artist. If unsure, do not worry. Details can be worked out during the trial.

  5. It is a great idea to plan your makeup trial for the same day as your dress fitting, engagement photos, bridal shower, bachelorette party, or just a fun date night!

  6. It is also a great idea to have all your outfits available for the trial. This will make your trial very enjoyable.

  7. Bring all of your accessories. Headpieces, Veils, Jewelry (Earrings and Necklaces), anything you plan to wear on your big day.

  8. Feel free to bring somebody with you. A friend or family member can offer much-needed support and encouragement.

  9. Finally on the day of the trial, please speak up. This is for one of the most important days of your life. 100% satisfaction will only be accomplished with your feedback. Being open and truthful is key in this process.

  10. After your makeup is complete, keep tabs on how your makeup performs throughout your day. This information can be very important for the day of your wedding.
